Alderson Queen Of Lights Selected Thank   to   Ms.   Lois   McVey   for   helping   select   the   Queen   of   Lights   and   her   Attendants.   The   decision   was made   last   year   to   select   her   majesty   and   court   from   our Alderson   Elementary   Fifth   Grade   as   an   Honor   for the   class   as   they   get   ready   to   transition   to   the   middle   school.   The   selection   of   Queen   of   Lights   used   to   be made   from   the Alderson   Junior   High   9th   grade.   Once   consolidation   happened   the   process   went   up   to   the high   school   at   East.   Now,   it’s   back   a   little   closer   home. Although   the   Queen   has   always   been   an Alderson resident, it seems to mean more to the younger ladies. Pictured   in   the   center   is   Grace   Boettner,   The   Queen   of   Lights .   Grace   is   the   daughter   of   Stacey   Lambert and Fritz Boettner.   Left is Attendant  Emily Pyles daughter of Verle and Lora Pyles. On the right is Attendant  Dixie Wright, daughter of Carla and Isaiah Parker and James Wright. These   young   ladies   are   fifth   graders   at   Alderson   Elementary.   They   will   be   riding   in   the   Annual   Alderson Christmas   Parade   on   Friday,   December   1st   and   they   will   be   introduced   before   the   parade   at   the   Historic Depot. Congratulation to The Queen of Lights and her Attendants!
