Alderson Green Grocer To Temporarily Close And Downsize June 18, 2017
Due
to
a
steady
decrease
in
sales,
the
Alderson
Community
Food
Hub
(ACFH)
Board
of
Directors
met
on
May
31,
2017
and
voted
to
temporarily
close
and
downsize
the
Alderson
Green
Grocer
effective
Sunday,
June
18,
2017.
To
ensure
the
downsizing
is
orderly,
the
board
created
a
transition
team
to
manage
the
process
and
begin
developing
a
new
plan
that
will
enable
the
ACFH
to
continue
its
mission
of
connecting
everyone
from
producers
to
consumers,
providing
access
to
nutritious
food,
fostering
community
participation,
and
cultivating
an
awareness
of
sustainable
food
systems
in
the
Greenbrier
Valley.
The
Food
Hub
would
like
to
thank
everyone
who
has
supported
the
Grocer
up
to
this
point.
We
hope
to
use
this
transition
time
to
get
feedback
from
our
membership
and
greater
community
so
that
we
can
recreate
a
Grocer that will be sustainable and best aligned with the Food Hub mission.
