Runnin’ Down a Dream: Local Musicians Host Special Concert Event in Tribute to Deceased Music Legends Contact: Anna Osborne (304) 646-0474  / Amy McIntire (804) 366-3078 LEWISBURG,   WV   –   On   December   2,   2017,   a   host   of   local   musicians   will   put   on   a   tribute   concert   at   Hill and Holler Pizza to honor the scores of music legends that passed away in 2016 and 2017. Organizers   Anna   Osborne   of   Alderson   and   Amy   McIntire   of   White   Sulphur   Springs   say   that   the   constant stream   of   news   since   the   beginning   of   2016   about   the   deaths   of   one   music   great   after   another   inspired them to organize local musicians to pay tribute to the lost. “We   wanted   to   get   together   to   celebrate   the   music   of   these   icons,”   said   organizer   Anna   Osborne.   “We’re gonna party like it’s 1999.” Over   the   course   of   the   evening,   more   than   twenty   local   musicians   will   play   their   favorite   cover   of   a   fallen star.   They   will   play   classics   from   the   likes   of   Ralph   Stanley,   Prince,   Tom   Petty,   David   Bowie,   Glenn   Frey, and many more. “The   variety   of   musicians   that   we’ve   lost   the   past   two   years   is   incredible,”   said   event   organizer   Amy McIntire. “The span of genres and eras is really remarkable.” “We   are   incredibly   grateful   to   all   the   musicians   who   have   dedicated   their   time   to   get   ready   for   this   exiting event, which will benefit local charities,” McIntire added. The   talent   will   include   local   legends   like   Allan   Dale   Sizemore,   Jim   Snyder,   and   Susanna   Robinson. Proceeds   from   the   concert   will   benefit   two   local   non-profit   organizations:   the   Yew   Mountain   Center   and Appalachian Mountain Advocates. The suggested donation is $5 to $10. The   doors   will   open   at   Hill   and   Holler   Pizza   for   the   performance   at   8:30   pm,   and   the   show   starts   at   9:00 pm.
