Copywrite Alderson Community Center - 1992
The Alderson Community Center came into being October 1992 after operating as Alderson
High & Jr. High School until the spring of 1992.  After consolidation, the Town of Alderson was
deeded the building by the Greenbrier County Board of Education.
The Center provides rooms for civic, social and educational meetings, special events and
recreational activities.  It houses an attractive and interesting Memorabilia Room for the Jr. and
High School archives.  Contributions of school memorabilia are still being sought.
The Center has operated with the help of funds donated by individuals, clubs, rental fees, fund-
raisers, and some grant monies.  The Board of Directors is continually exploring additional
ways to improve services to the community and making building improvements.
Rooms are currently rented on a yearly basis to the Alderson Quilters & Crafters Club, WV
EMS TSN Office, 4th of July Committee, and the Thrift Store.
Volunteers are always welcomed for odd jobs, painting, cleaning, etc.  Please notify  of your
willingness to help and/or assist.
