Howe has already developed a schedule for monthly exhibits featuring local artists at the GRIC and is working on a  series of musical and educational events for the summer.  She has met with many other local organizations to  coordinate their activities and will meet with many more.  Beginning the middle of May, she will have regular hours at  the GRIC, which is located on Riverview Avenue in Alderson, on Thursdays and Fridays from 11-4 and Saturdays  from 8-4.  Already, visitors can tell when she is present at the GRIC because of the colorful sign, which she designed and  crafted, and which announces that the Visitor’s Center is open.  More information about schedules and events can be  found on the Alderson Main Street face book page or the web site at http://www.min7th.com/ams/   Doris Kasley, Alderson Main Street Member and her immediate supervisor, said, “You can just feel the energy  developing.  I hope everyone will stop by and meet Lynda and attend all the events we are planning.” AmeriCorps Member Lynda Howe and Alderson Main Street member Doris Kasley PHOTO CAPTION:  AmeriCorps Member Lynda Howe and Alderson  Main Street member Doris Kasley inspect the new visitor’s center sign  at the Greenbrier River Interpretive Center on Riverview Avenue in  Alderson.
