The Art of Cathy Frerotte
Two different ways to look at the world around us, Art and Music. They both speak to our souls. Friday August 15, 5 to
9 pm there is a free reception at the Greenbrier River Interpretive & Alderson Visitor Center.
The Art of Cathy Frerotte will be displayed and available for sale. Cathy is a native and life long resident of West
Virginia. After graduating from WVU she lived in Charleston until she retired and moved to a farm near Alderson in
2008. Self-educated in art, she has shown her work in Lewisburg and Charleston. Cathy is a member of the
Greenbrier Artists. Her favorite subjects are landscapes and still live using oil, pastel, watercolor or acrylic.
Anna Robinson is an acoustic singer-songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. You'll find traces of other places she's
called home in her in her music, including Alderson, West Virginia and Central America. Her influences range from
Ingrid Michaelson to Gillian Welch, and her sound merges the urban and rural landscapes that have shaped her.
Anna sees music as having the ability to connect to peoples hearts and effecting change in the world.
This monthly exhibit and reception is sponsored by Alderson Main Street. The Visitor Center is located on Riverview
Road near the Memorial Bridge. Hours are Thu & Fri 11-4 and Sat 8-4. The Community Market is in the parking lot
8:30-12:30 on Saturdays until mid October. For more information contact us at 304-445-2005.
