"Improving the Community - One Project at a Time"

AGENDA
ALDERSON MAIN STREET
November 19, 2009
7:00 p.m. at City Hall

Greetings! Welcome! Did you bring a friend? The new year begins this month for Alderson Main Street and your $15 dues will be “due” again! Your dues go into the general fund for projects we support and are an important source of revenue. They entitle you to be a voting member of the organization, attend Chamber of Commerce events, and work hard. What a bargain! Thank you!

Three Cheers!!!

• For Judy and Bobby Hoover who keep on top of the kiosks by changing them to match the season. That turkey at the overlook is big enough to serve several!

• For Judy Lewallen, and Barbara Taylor with help from Judy Hoover who got a jump start on Christmas and have been decorating the town.

• For Lee and Tammy Skaggs who are organizing and holding a model train show in the Depot on December 6 from 1-5. The fee of $2 for adults and $1 for children 12 and under goes to the Main Street Depot Fund.

• For the AldersonFire Department which will open the Alderson Bridge for a “drive under the lights” on December 6 from 5-7. The $5 fee will be shared between the Fire Department and The Bridge Trust.

• For Mayor Lewallen and all those who help him with the Christmas Parade. Cheers especially for the Community Center which hosts Santa and provides goodies for the children.

• For our legislators who supported us for WV Development Office Grants including $2000 toward the City Hall roof; $5000 for sidewalk lighting; $5000 toward a new sewer department truck; and $10,000 for Memorial Bridge repairs.

For everyone, both near and far, who cares about Alderson
