Super Bowl Observations

Rick Hughes  - February 2, 2015

I do not have a prophesy for the outcome of the game at half time, but I saw something that makes me lean strongly toward Seattle over the Patriots! The Patriots obviously have great talent, Brady dominated the passing aspect for almost the entire first half, and their defense responds very very fast. Seattle's quarterback has completed 2 passes the entire half, and it was the last pass that pushed me toward them.

Seattle reached the 6 yard line with 6 seconds left on the clock in the first half. The announcer said they would have to try A field goal, it would be way too risky to try to score, besides they would receive the ball to start the second half. Just like A puppet, in total conformity with accepted conventional strategy I agreed. Then when I saw they were going to try to score I was dumbfounded.  I thought the coach had gone crazy. That is what I said out loud, everyone else agreed. That they ran the pass play, quick out to the right and bam, bam, the big end catches it and scores. We all cheered, yelling what A coach what a gutsy play, the announcer said just about the same thing. I will tell you what, any team that is daring is going to be tough to beat, I am suddenly betting on Seattle, I hope I am right!

Amazing, the absolute dumbest play I have ever seen, I just saw victory turned into defeat. Seattle pushed down to the 3 yard line, having about 30 seconds and after that indescribable catch that put them there, they made 2 yards with 3 more plays, I believe they had enough time to get off three more plays, but for some odd reason they tried to run A pass play and the patriots intercepted to win the super bowl. That has to be the most catastrophic play I ever saw called, the consequences will be severe for Seattle's coach and play caller, but I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.
