Looking west about 1905 we see
the freight station cluttered with equipment, the passenger station
just beyond with folks waiting for the train approaching in the
distance, and baggage trucks piled high. Beyond the station area a
lumber yard bustles. In these days no less than 14 trains a day
called at Alderson, including locals for Hinton and Clifton Forge
and fast flyers for N. Y. and Cincinnati. Photo by J. W. McClung. |
