DARREL BLAINE "PAPPY"
HARVEY, 68, of Huntington, W.Va., passed away September 11,
2010, at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted
at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2010, at the Wallace
Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, W.Va., by Pastor Jesse
Collins. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens,
Barboursville. He was born July 15, 1942, in Asbury, W.Va.,
a son of the late Porter Elliott and Lois Mae Hayes Harvey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gilla Fletcher Harvey;
one son Stephen Allen Burks; one brother Beryl Wayne Harvey;
one sister Anna Ruth Ray; and one nephew Rusty Harvey and
one niece Brenda Sue Ray. He is survived by three daughters,
Connie Jackson of Union, Ky., Rhonda Sands of Russell, Ky.,
and Terri Roy of Barboursville, W.Va.; one son, Timothy
Burks of Pomeroy, Ohio, and one special "son," Dewayne
Yeager of Milton, W.Va.; one sister, Doris Smith of
Ronceverte, W.Va.; two brothers, Charles "Dick" Harvey and
Larry Harvey, both of Asbury, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren and
many great-grandchildren. Visitation will be after 11 a.m.
Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
