Joe Henry Feamster - Obituary

August 12, 1930 - September 15, 2021

Joe Henry Feamster 91, of Alderson passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at his home. Born August 12, 1930 in Palestine, WV and was a son of the late Chester Franklin and Mae Virginia Fleshman. He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Mona Lisa Feamster, and Nona Teresa Feamster, Daughter Tammy Jo Feamster McDaniels, and one brother, Phil David Feamster.

Joe was a farmer, Greenbrier County Commission, and a Greenbrier County Assessor.

Joe was a graduate of Alderson High School, Class of 1948.

Joe is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gretchen Louise Manning Feamster, daughters, Sherri Jenkins and husband Nelson of Sinks Grove, Debbie Donohue and husband James of New Hampshire, Pam Wigglesworth and husband David and Sherrie Canterbury both of Alderson, Bonnie Reed of Lexington, Kentucky, and Jamie Cole and husband Anthony of Asbury, son, David Lee Feamster of Alderson, seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, sisters, Gaye Van-Kammon of Mich., and Beverly Pack and husband Leroy of North Carolina, brothers, Dale Feamster wife Carolyn of Alderson, Bucky Feamster and wife Linda of White Sulphur Springs, and Jack Lynch and wife Dee of Tennessee, a very special son, Eddie Whitt whom hand made his final resting place (his casket).

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the Muddy Creek Cemetery on Blakers Mill Road with Pastors Mike Tubert and Ronald Cole officiating.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Lantz Funeral Home in Alderson.
