Eugene M. Bennett, Jr., 78, Addison, passed away Friday, March 22, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.

He was born January 22, 1941 in Blue Sulfur, Springs, WV, a son of Eugene, Sr. and Thelma. Mae (Burnett) Bennett. His wife, Carol (Spear) preceded him in death. Gene is survived by a son, Jeffrey and wife, Melissa, Confluence and daughters, Pam Charles and husband, Tim, Somerset and Natalie Hudson and husband, Jason, Addison; three grandchildren, Tyler Charles, Brittany Dwire, and Brooke Bennett; a brother, Monty Bennett and wife, Pam, Burke, VA and a sister, Maxanna Bennett, Pittsburgh. He went to Alderson High School, Alderson, WV.

He retired from Iron Workers Local 201, Washington, DC and was a former president of Addison Borough Council. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday with Rev. Samuel McClintock officiating. Interment will follow in Addison Cemetery.
