Freddie O'Brien, 78, died March 22, 2012 at his
home in Lewisburg. Fred had returned to the area and in the past few
years had purchased and remodeled several older house in the
Alderson area.
He was the son of Jerry and Helen O'Brien of Alderson, an army
veteran and the owner of a business in Chicago. He was preceded in
death by two wives, his parents and one sister Patricia.
He is survived by two daughters and a son. Also surviving are two
sisters and a brother and seven grandchildren. No services are
planned at this time and his remains were cremated.
Mr. O'Brien was recently honored by the town of Alderson for his
services in the purchases and renovations of many older neglected
houses in the community and their return to use as a viable part of
of the town.
