Richard Hughes

WHAT IS A TRUCK STOP WORTH SEEING ?    I  WANT  TO SEE ALTA'S  TRUCK STOP .  AS I GREW UP ALTA , AT NIGHT , LOOKED LIKE THE DARK SIDE   OF THE MOON . THE LITTLE COUNTRY STORE AT ASBURY WHICH WAS A SCENIC BEAUTIFUL PLACE .  THE WHOLE AREA IS PANORAMIC .IT IS PROBABLY THE MOST SECRET BEAUTIFUL PLACE IN AMERICA . IT WAS QUIET, THERE WAS LITTLE SOUND EVER . ALDERSON  WAS THE QUIETEST PLACE AT NIGHT I EVER SAW . IT WAS SO QUIET UNTIL I LEFT I THOUGHT IT WAS THE NORM . I USED GO DOWN SIT AROUND THE SNACK SHACK , ABOUT EVERY NIGHT, CHEW TOBACCO SOCIALIZE AND GO HOME ABOUT NINE O'CLOCK OR SO . WE , MY FAMILY HAD NO CAR AND I NEVER LEARNED TO DRIVE UNTIL I WAS 24 ,AND THEY TALK ABOUT DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE !  ANYWAY IT WAS A UNIQUE AND WONDERFUL PLACE TO GROW TO MANHOOD. ALL MY LIFE I HAVE BEEN ABSOLUTELY SO THRILLED TO GO TO A MALL ,HOTEL, RESTRAINT , OR DRIVE MY CAR !  MY APPRECIATION HAS NO LIMIT FOR WHAT A GREAT NATION THIS IS THE OPPORTUNITIES IT HAS FOR WORK AND CAPITAL , MOST NO ALL OF THAT COMES FROM GROWING P IN A PLACE WHERE  AS FAR AS I COULD SEE WAS  THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAINS .
