ENNIS, Texas — Carlos Clinton Sheppard, 54, passed away at his home on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008.

He was born Nov. 1, 1953, to parents Carl and Joyce Wenger Sheppard in Alderson, West Virginia.

He was reared in Alderson and attended Greenbrier East High School where he graduated in 1972.

On Dec. 7, 1980, he married Debbie Deskins and they made their home in Charleston. They moved to Ennis in December 1983.

He was a member of Local Union No. 100, and was a welder and pipe fitter for 20 years. He was a United Association of Plumber and Pipe Fitters member for 35 years. He attended trade school to learn his trade of welding.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Jo Sheppard; a son, Morgan J. Sheppard of Ennis; his mother, Joyce Noble and Fred of Alderson; a sister, Betty Hall of Roanoke, Va.; and a brother, Calvin Lewis Sheppard of Alderson.

Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Keever Chapel, Ennis, with the Rev. Kelly Brian officiating.
