Alderson Jingle Bell Fun Fest

The Alderson 4th of July Committee is proud to present the first-ever Alderson Jingle Bell Fun Fest! This event is a fundraiser for the festival which faced an extreme hardship due to the remnants of the derecho storm that cancelled the annual July festival. The funds raised at this event will go toward building back the treasury to allow a fantastic 2013 festival. The committee would like to thank Alderson Medical Center for their help in sponsoring this event!

The Jingle Bell Fun Fest is on Saturday, December 15, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and will be held at the Alderson Community Center. The Jingle Bell Fun Fest will be the first of its kind in the Greenbrier Valley with a schedule of events that has something for everyone! In addition to the great events listed below, you will find:

Vendors and Crafters
Pictures with Santa
Concessions
Games/Prizes
Letters to Santa and Crafts for Children
Announcements of winners for the races and raffle
And more things to be added!

Kicking off the holiday fun will be a special treat for young and old with a “Breakfast with Santa” from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. The breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, a holiday treat for the children, and beverages. Breakfast is pay-at-the-door and $5 a plate. Santa will be arriving from the North Pole just in time for this special breakfast! Photo opportunities will be available.

Beginning at 12:00 pm, racers will be on their mark for the Children’s Santa Chase! Our “special guest” will lead off this fun run and walk for ages 10 and under. This event will be a fun, non-competitive course starting at the community center and going around the elementary school and back up. Each child will receive a goody bag. Prizes will be awarded for Overall Best Holiday Costume, Best Santa Look-a-Like, Frosty’s Choice, the Reindeer Way and more! The cost is $10 per child to participate with discounts for multiple children. There will have safety personnel along the course however; children must be accompanied by an adult for safety.

Get your bells on! The Greenbrier Valley’s first-ever Jingle Bell Fun Run and Walk will step off at 1:00 pm on December 15, at the Alderson Community Center. This Jingle Bell Fun Run and Walk is a fun and festive way to kick off the holiday season and help a community in need. This event is a 2 Mile Fun Run and Walk through Alderson. There is a $15 entry fee per person or $25 per couple. Register by phone (304-661-2858), email (alderson4th@gmail.com), or on the day of the event (all participants must be registered by 12:30pm).
